Aloysius uche ordu brings three decades of executive experience and expertise in international development. He has led fund raising efforts and the design, appraisal and execution of policy-based and investment lending projects, and the formulation of policies and strategies. He has worked in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean regions and built strong constituencies with Governments, Foundations and Private Sector entities.
He has PhD Economics (Sussex University), MSc Quantitative Economics (Bristol University), BSc Economics & Law (University of Wales, UK), and Executive Leadership Training (Harvard Business School). He has held various strategic roles, including:
Chief Executive Officer, Omapu Associates LLC, an advisory services, fund raising and consultancy firm. (Since June 2015).
Director, World Bank Group Operational Services, Latin America and the Caribbean region. Prior to that Corporate Director, Operations Policy and Quality. (December 2011 – July 2014).
Vice President, African Development Bank: Member, Senior Management Team that successfully led the record General Capital Increase & ADF Replenishments. Accountable for 13 Departments, covering Country & Regional Operations, Policies, Resource Mobilization & Partnerships. Prior to that Regional Director, East Africa Department. (June 2008 – November 2011).
Manager & Lead Specialist, World Bank Group, covering Infrastructure and Private Sector Lending Operations in diverse regions. (September 1988 – May 2008).
